Sunday Service This Sunday, October 28th at 5:30pm - Special Event DINNER AND A MOVIE
This past Sunday, Pastor Tim spoke about a sense of urgency that Christians should have, especially with the times we are in. We should make sure our priorities are inline with our faith. To continue with this paradigm, we will be having a potluck dinner and watching the move, “The Father of Lights”, this coming Sunday in lieu of our normal service. This is a great time to invite others to share in the experience we have here at The Well Church of Lewisville.
The movie is kid friendly. We will have childcare available for the toddlers during the movie. Here is a short synopsis of the movie…
Father of Lights is the final film in the Finger of God/Furious Love trilogy. It is big, epic, and above all, challenging. If I were to have to explain what it is about in a nutshell, I would put it like this: if Finger of God is about God’s power, and Furious Love is about God’s love, then Father of Lights is about God’s heart. I went into making this film by asking the simple question: who is God? I wanted to know His character, His personality, and who He truly is. To answer this question, we had to peel back the many layers of religious garbage that has been passed onto him through generations. That He is angry. Vengeful. Wrathful. And in general, that He doesn’t like you very much. The truth, as you will see vibrantly in this film, is that He is the most loving, compassionate, and wonderful Father you can imagine.
Along the way we will look at a number of things. Aside from dealing with some of the misconceptions surrounding the Father, we’ll journey through the nature of grace, take on the religious spirit, and see some of the most amazing God encounters ever put on film. You’ll meet people who love more extravagantly than you thought possible, will watch God deal with witch doctors and gang leaders and Hindu holy men, and you’ll see and ending that…well…let’s just say you’ll need to see it to truly believe it.

Special Needs
At The Well Church of Lewisville, one of our primary objectives is to feed and clothe those in need, to take care of the orphans and widows, and to show the love of Christ to a fallen world. To accomplish this, it takes everyone of us! We are asking each of you to prayerfully ask the Lord how you might help us reach the lost, the hurting, and those in need. With that said, please consider a monetary gift to our ministry. 100% of what we receive will be used to help those in need through missions support, outreach and disaster relief. If you would like to see how our funds have been used, please contact Pastor Tim and he will gladly share a copy of our financial report.
We look forward to seeing you all this coming Sunday!
