Sunday Service This Sunday, September 30th at 5:30pm  (PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE)

Please note, we are changing the time of our service to 5:30PM beginning this coming Sunday.

Lesson

This past Sunday, Pastor Tim continued our series on prayer. Tim taught on our righteousness through Christ which has granted us direct access to God through our faith. He showed how fractured our relationship with God was in the Old Testament in order to explain how Christ's redemptive act on the cross has cleansed us of all unrighteousness. This is a key principal when we come to God in prayer. We must have the assurance that our sins have been cleansed once and for all by the blood of Christ in order to have faith that our prayers are heard by our sovereign God. By having this assurance, we can come before the throne of God with confidence.

This coming Sunday, we will continue our lesson on prayer as we uncover those things that can be hinderences to prayer.

Wellsters (our youth program)

We have been following the theme of prayer by teaching the Wellsters about prayer.  Laura has done a great job teaching the kids on this important topic.

Canned Food Drive

Please have your child bring a canned food item, which will go to The Servant House to support their mission work.

Special Needs

At The Well Church of Lewisville, one of our primary objectives is to feed and clothe those in need, to take care of the orphans and widows, and to show the love of Christ to a fallen world. To accomplish this, it takes everyone of us! We are asking each of you to prayerfully ask the Lord how you might help us reach the lost, the hurting, and those in need. With that said, please consider a monetary gift to our ministry. 100% of what we receive will be used to help those in need through missions support, outreach and disaster relief. If you would like to see how our funds have been used, please contact Pastor Tim and he will gladly share a copy of our financial report.

The Well Church Security Wall in Sierre Leone Africa!!

As you know, we have been raising funds to assist our friends, The Servant House, in funding a security wall for their ministry in Sierre Leone, Africa. The Well Church is about to make an impact in this remote part of the world thanks to all of your generous hearts! Pastor Tim will be taking a check to Pastor Langstaff next week in support of building this crucial security wall. Thank you again for your generous contributions. As we continue to raise funds, we will continue to assist in this important ministry that The Servant House has been leading as well as other outreach, mission, and disaster relief efforts.

Our small church in Lewisville, Texas will have impacted a community in Africa by providing the necessary security to support missionaries and pastors for many years. This confirms the words that we have heard through The Refuge Worship Center - "This church will reach many nations". Thank you all!!!

We look forward to seeing you all this coming Sunday!

  • November 2-4 (Tentative) - Leadership Summit at Refuge Worship Center
Upcoming Leadership Summit at Refuge Worship Center

We are working with Pastor Jamie, from Refuge Worship Center, to lock-in dates for a leadership summit. This will tentatively take place the first weekend in November. We are looking at opening this up to anyone in our church who would like to participate. We will tentatively go to Oklahoma on a Friday evening and return on Sunday. We are working through logistics, such as lodging and agendas. We will keep you posted as we finalize the plans. Please mark November 2-4 as tentative dates on your calendar. This will be an incredible time that you will not want to miss.

First Prayer Meeting Held This Past Saturday

We had an incredible evening of prayer at the William's home this past Saturday. This will be a monthly event for our church. We will work on setting a date for October for our next prayer meeting. Thank you all who participated in this very powerful and uplifting evening.

Sunday Service This Sunday, September 23rd at 6pm

We have completed our study on spiritual gifts. Thank you all who completed your surveys. As you can see, we all have special gifts that God has given to help the body of Christ function as a whole, edifying and building up the body of Christ. Cindy will put the gifts that have been identified into a table so that we can see exactly how God has designed each of us to function collectively. We are diverse, but through diversity, we are unified!

Also, thank you for joining us in celebrating our September birthdays!!!

Thank you Pastor Josh for the great message on prayer! We will continue the study of prayer over the next few weeks. Prayer is an essential part of this ministry and it is important that we understand more about this subject. Prayer, in essence, is our way of strengthening our relationship with God, increasing our faith, and learning to depend on Him.

Wellsters (our youth program)

The Wellsters had a great time this Sunday. Laura has been teaching the Wellster's about prayer. Thank you Laura!

Laura is holding a canned food-drive, in which the donations will go toThe Servant House to support their mission work. Please have your child bring a canned good this Sunday!

Thank you, God bless and have a wonderful week!

Snapshot of Upcoming Special Events

Saturday, September 15th, 6:00pm - Time of Prayer at the William's home.

Visit to our Church Partner - Refuge Worship Center

This past Sunday, several from our church visited our partner church, Refuge Worship Center, where Tim Vanderwater was ordained and licensed as a pastor by the Elders of Refuge Worship Center. Tim shared a message with the congregation and gave a report of all of the blessings that have been occurring in The Well Church of Lewisville. In addition, Sharon Nowell gave a very powerful testimony about how our church is really impacting the lives of others. This was an incredible time in the presence of the Lord. The service was very moving and uplifting. We are all so grateful for the warm and loving reception that we received from our church partner.

Prayer Meeting - Saturday, September 15th at 6:00pm at the William's Home

This Saturday at 6PM, we will be holding a prayer meeting at Josh and Tammy's home in Corinth. Their address is:
2606 Whetstone
Corinth TX 76210

This will be a time where we will come together as a church body and lift our petitions and requests to the Lord for our church, for the lost world and for each other. God's Word tells us:

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission (Hebrews 5:8, NIV).

God will also hear our prayers, but only if you are there to make your requests known. This is what we, as a church, are to model. Please join us for this powerful evening of prayer. As Pastor Jamie reminded us this Sunday, when God provides an opportunity, you want to do everything possible to be there, because the opportunity may not be there again.

Sunday Service This Sunday, September 16th at 6pm - Spiritual Gifts Inventory

This Sunday, we will be wrapping up our study on Spiritual Gifts. Please don't forget to bring your Spiritual Gifts inventory. We will spend this Sunday helping our church body understand God's purpose for you as the body of Christ. This will be an important lesson as we close this study. If you need another copy of the Spiritual Gifts inventory, please contact Pastor Tim at tvanderwater@thewellchurchoflewisville.org
